Project Location: Panama City, Florida

 
         
    BDI was retained by Bay County and the City of Callaway, along with the other owners to attain funding, plan, design, permit and provide construction management for this unique 7.0 MGD advanced wastewater treatment facility, located on Tyndall AFB. The project includes a 5000 LF 36 inch subaqueous crossing, a surface water discharge to St. Andrew Bay, as well as a reuse line to the Pelican Point Golf Course.  
     
  In addition to the new AWT facilities, BDI prepared plans and specifications for 6 new master lift stations, expansion to several large lift stations, and upgrades to nearly 30 lift stations in the Cities of Callaway, Parker, Cedar Grove, and Springfield. BDI also assisted these communities in attaining funding.  
     
  As seen in the photo, to the left, this plant features a process train with mechanical screening, grit removal , one-of-a-kind 5-stage biological nutrient removal/phased isolation process, clarification, filtration, 2-step ultraviolet radiation hypochlorite high level disinfection, instrumentation/control system, aerobic digestion and centrifuge dewatering.
