Highway Engineering
Our Transportation staff includes engineers that are technically qualified and experienced in the design of roadways, ranging in complexity from local collector streets to interstate highways. These skills include criteria compliance, drainage, maintenance of pedestrian and vehicular traffic during construction, access management, cost estimates, specifications, constructability reviews and schedules.
We understand and are very proficient in all technical aspects of roadway design, including horizontal and vertical geometry, drainage, pavement marking and signing, signalization, lighting and landscaping. Most importantly, we are keenly aware of the rising cost of construction and are careful to program sufficient time and effort to the development of accurate and reliable construction cost estimates. This enables our engineers to recommend cost reduction design alternatives whenever cost estimates exceed the allocated budget.
Airfield Engineering
Our team is well-staffed and experienced in the design of both military and civilian airfield infrastructure. With projects completed both state-side and in Latin America, over the years, Baskerville-Donovan has developed a formidable resume in the area of airfield planning and design. Our engineers have designed major airfield projects for both fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft; this experience includes an award-winning design for the USAF Forward Operating Location in Manta, Ecuador.
